Center for Real Estate names Schuerman new associate director
June 24, 2014
Marquette Business’ Center for Real Estate has named 2008 alumna Nina Schuerman its new associate director. She replaces Andrew Hunt, who will be relocating to the Denver area.
Schuerman, who double-majored in real estate and accounting and also holds a CPA, was most recently an investment analyst in the real estate department at Northwestern Mutual. During her time there, she worked in asset management and later production, working with assets in Kansas City and new loan and equity production in the Midwest.
“I am honored to come back to Marquette University to use my real estate education and work experience to help strengthen the real estate program and overall student experience,” Schuerman said. “I look forward to working with the faculty, alumni, board members, community and students in this mission.”
“We could not be happier to welcome Nina back to Marquette and the Center for Real Estate family,” said Dr. Mark Eppli, interim Keyes Dean of Business Administration and Bell Chair in Real Estate. “As an outstanding student and professional, Nina will continue to build upon the foundation that Andy Hunt was instrumental in establishing over the last four years.”
Though her official duties do not begin until July 14, Schuerman has already had the opportunity to work with Hunt to transition into her new role.
“Nina joining our team is a huge win for the Center for Real Estate, and I could not be happier that she accepted this role,” Hunt said. “I look forward to working with Nina and supporting her in every way I can in the future, and I am excited for the incredible amount of talent she brings to this role.”
