Students in the Applied Investment Management Program’s new private equity and banking track traveled to Vancouver in January to represent Marquette University in the international round of the National Investment Banking Conference and Competition. The conference represented the culmination of three months of work, where the top 24 teams globally competed head-to-head and presented their analysis in the board rooms of North America’s top investment banks.

Marquette’s team, The WhitePebble Group, ranked in the top 24 of the 380 teams that registered for the competition. Competing schools included the University of Chicago, Yale, Columbia, Hong Kong University, and many others from across the world. In addition to the competition, the team attended several presentations and panels ranging from financial modeling workshops to fireside chats with Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank) and Frank Giustra (Founder, Lions Gate Films).
