November 22, 2013

Marquette University’s Board of Trustees recently announced the search committee for Marquette’s 24th president. The committee will be chaired by John Ferraro, a 1977 Marquette Business alumnus, vice chair of Marquette’s Board of Trustees and global chief operating officer at Ernst & Young.

“The opportunity to help choose Marquette’s 24th president is a historic and exciting honor,” Ferraro said on behalf of the search committee. “We are committed to ensuring this search process is inclusive and representative of the perspectives of our faculty, staff, students and alumni, which will ensure we choose the best candidate to lead Marquette forward.”

Also on the committee is Patrick Lawton, a 1978 and 1980 Marquette Business graduate, Marquette Trustee and managing director of fixed income capital markets group at Robert W. Baird & Co.

A permanent president is expected to be in place for the 2014-15 academic year. Rev. Robert A. Wild, S.J., who served as president of Marquette from 1996 to 2011, is leading the university as interim president until August 2014.
