Alumni honored during Marquette’s National Alumni Awards Weekend

Four Marquette Business alumni were honored by the College of Business Administration and the Marquette University Alumni Association in a ceremony Friday, April 26. The College of Business Administration Alumni Awards ceremony is part of Marquette University’s Alumni Awards weekend, April 25-27, during which each college recognizes the contributions of its alumni and presents awards to those demonstrating exceptional achievement.
The recipients follow:
Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award
JOHN W. SPLUDE, '67
The man who led the transformation of HK Systems into an industry leader, John was once described as “one of the true thought leaders in the material handling and logistics technology field.”
CHRISTOPHER J. DALTON, '90
Chris is CEO of Acquity Group, a brand commerce and digital marketing firm with offices across North America and China.
JAMES A. WALDVOGEL, '83
Jim has made a successful career in the hospitality industry as general manager of the award-winning Hilton Minneapolis/ Bloomington Hotel, which is ranked in the top 10 of all Hiltons in the Americas.
Young Alumnus of the Year Award
ERIC A. KOESTER, '99
A serial entrepreneur, Eric founded Zaarly, an online marketplace that USA Today described as “a startup blending the best bits of Foursquare and eBay.”
