Developing talent: Real estate students win Midwest Real Estate Challenge

April 26, 2012

A team of four real estate students recently took top honors at the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation’s Second Annual Midwest Real Estate Challenge in Chicago. Marquette Business’ Center for Real Estate has participated in the competition both years; this was their first win.

In addition to Marquette, students from DePaul University, Indiana University, Roosevelt University, University of Illinois at Chicago and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign competed through a live presentation and written report containing development plans for the U.S. Steel Southworks site in Chicago. The winning team comprised Maggie Brueggen, Nick Koglin, Kyle McElwee and Joe McWeeney.

Marquette Business documented the team’s journey from planning to practice to presentation in this three-part video series.
