Research with Relevance and Impact

We value research – it is our intellectual contribution to our disciplines, it challenges our creativity and problem solving skills and it adds value to what we teach.  Research with relevance advances scholarship, addresses issues of interest and concern to business, can be applied to business and is an integral part of our contribution to the business community.  It is a two-way street, with the opportunity for business to engage our faculty and students in creative problem solving and to address business challenges.  Research with impact is published, disseminated and communicated through venues that have impact on the business community.  Students benefit from faculty scholarship by participating in research projects and from an enriched classroom experience in which the faculty member brings current thinking into the classroom.  Thus, relevant and impactful research builds individual scholarship, enhances teaching and learning, and strengthens our ties to the business community.
