Global Perspective
While many, if not most, colleges and universities have identified a focus on global issues as a critical component of higher education in today’s world, the College of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Management have a 20-year history of providing students with an international perspective through study abroad and exchange programs. In addition to emphasizing global and multicultural business issues in our curriculum, we use our focus on the global perspective as a platform for helping students to develop a set of values that are inclusive and respectful of all cultures in our world. This means we instill the values of respect, justice, equity, fairness and equal opportunities for all individuals and nations within the context of globalization.
Our research is global in scope and our faculty work with colleagues across the globe. We have a strong tradition of international business education and thus, our students engage with students and professors from other countries and cultures through travel abroad or in virtual communities using cutting edge communication technologies. These experiences are intended to raise our students’ sensibilities for the uniqueness and rich diversity of our global society and the global business environment.
