Associate Professor of Accounting
Prof. Naples has been with Marquette University since 1984 where he has taught, developed, or created graduate and undergraduate courses in corporate income tax, individual income tax, international income tax, international accounting, introductory accounting, international business law and business law; he has taught business law to virtually all graduates of the College for over 20 years. Prof. Naples has also been a visiting, adjunct Professor in Tax at the Marquette University Law School; and, has served as a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Business School at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Prof. has performed instructional activities at The Hague Academy of International Law, The Hague, Netherlands, while studying for a Certificate in international law.
Additionally, Prof Naples served as Chair of the Marquette University Athletics Board for over 16 years, until August, 2008 and served as the Marquette University NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for over 16 years, until August, 2008. While serving as Marquette’s NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative Prof. Naples also served six years on the Executive Committee of the 1,100 member NCAA Faculty Athletics Representatives Association where he also held positions as President, Program Chair, and Secretary. Further, while serving on the Executive Committee Prof. Naples also served on a number of NCAA committees including one specifically overseeing the creation of new and revised recruiting standards for NCAA member institutions. While serving as the Marquette University NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, Prof. Naples participated as a member of a number of NCAA Athletics Recertification review teams at member institutions, participated in the transition of the Marquette University Athletics Program transition from the Great Midwest, to Conference USA, to the Big East Athletics conferences and, served on an array of athletics Conference-affiliated committees.
