INBU 4951: International Business Course
Travel and Study Abroad in Rome, Italy
Two weeks: June 30 - July 14, 2012
Program Overview
This new course (3 credits) will provide students with an opportunity to study business, economic, social and cultural ramifications of the European Economic and Monetary Union.
- The course is scheduled to include corporate visits and lectures by professors from universities in Rome.
- Anticipated cultural tours include:
- Roman Ruins including the Ancient Forum and the Coliseum
- St. Peter's Basilica
- Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel
- Day trip to Pompeii
Accommodations
- Centrally located hotel
- Double and/or quadruple occupancy in efficiencies
- Each room has a private shower/toilet/bathroom
- Air conditioned
- Daily breakfast buffet
- Grocery store next door; many other shops located nearby
- Walking distances to many historical, cultural and social venues
- Easy access to public transportation.
Costs
$4,195 -- Price includes:
- Tuition for 3 academic undergraduate credits granted by Marquette University
- Round-trip airfare from Chicago O'Hare to Rome with transportation to hotel
- Transportation to and from airports (on designated dates) and for other group activities
- Lodging for the duration of the trip
- Continental breakfast buffet at the hotel
- One additional meal, usually a light lunch each day
- Costs of participation in class activities (e.g., tours)
Eligibility
- A minimum of sophomore standing and enrolled in the College of Business
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Cannot be on academic or university probation at time of application
Credit
- Three academic business credits (INBU 4951)

- A minimum of 25 students are needed for the program to be held; first come, first serve
- A maximum of 30 students will be accepted
- Because this is a new program, details described above are subject to change

- Click on APPLY NOW then select SEARCH PROGRAMS; click SUMMER and BUSINESS.
- Then find Business European Travel Program-Italy and click APPLY
- Select Summer 2012 under TERM in right column.
- Complete all steps in 1: Fill OUT APPLICATION; also, print out Deposit Form in the Application Deposit step.
- Submit Deposit Form AND a $600 non-refundable check (payable to Marquette University) to Assistant Dean Joe Terrian
