Marketing Minor Course Requirements

To complete the requirements for a minor in Marketing, students need to complete 21 credits as specified below (a grade of C or better must be earned in each course):

Specific Marketing Requirements

  • ECON 1001 or ECON 1103 * 3 credits
  • Statistics A 3 credits
  • MARK 3001 (Introduction to Marketing) 3 credits
  • MARK 4060 (Marketing Research) 3 credits
  • Select three courses from:
    • MARK 4005 (Sport Marketing)
    • MARK 4010 (Consumer Behavior) 3 credits
    • MARK 4020 (Integrated Marketing Communications) 3 credits
    • MARK 4030 (Customer Relationship Management) 3 credits
    • MARK 4050 (Digital Marketing) 3 credits
    • MARK 4065 (Marketing Analytics) 3 credits
    • MARK 4070 (Marketing and Society) 3 credits
    • MARK 4080 (Product and Pricing Strategy) 3 credits
    • MARK 4085 (Marketing Channel Strategy) 3 credits
    • MARK 4094 (Professional Selling) 3 credits
    • MARK 4095 (Retailing Management) 3 credits
    • MARK 4191 (Sales Management, Leadership, & Strategy) 3 credits
    • MARK 4931 (Topics in Marketing) 3 credits
    • MARK 4953 (Seminar in Marketing) 3 credits

All courses for the Marketing minor shoud be taken at Marquette, one course may transfer in from another university; the Assistant Dean of the College of Business Administration must approve any transfer of credits.

* Signifies the course is satisfies the Individual and Social Behavior requirement in the University Core of Common Studies.
A MATH 1700, MATH 4720, BUAD 1560 or PSYC 2001.  SOCI 2060 is not an acceptable substitution for the Marketing minor.
