Human Resources Minor

To complete the requirements for a minor in Human Resources, students need to complete 21 credits as specified below (a grade of C or better must be earned in each course):

  • ACCO 1030 (Financial Accounting) 3 credits
    -or- BUAD 2100 (Accounting and Finance Fundamentals) 3 credits
  • ECON 1001 (Intro to Econ) -or- ECON 1103 (Principles of Microeconomics)* 3 credits
  • Statistics - see A below - 3 credits
  • HURE 3001 (Management of Human Resources) 3 credits
  • Select three courses from:
    • MANA 3001 (Behavior and Organization) 3 credits
      -OR- MANA 3035 (Diversity in Organizations)** 3 credits
    • HURE 4003 (Employment Law) 3 credits
    • HURE 4005 (Employee Benefit Systems) 3 credits
    • HURE 4010 (Strategic Compensation & Rewards) 3 credits
    • HURE 4030 (Employment of Human Resources) 3 credits
    • HURE 4080 (Training and Development) 3 credits
    • HURE 4140 (International Human Resources) 3 credits
    • HURE 4931 (Topics in HR) 3 credits
    • HURE 4953 (Seminar in HR) 3 credits
    • HURE 4990 (HR Internship for HR minor students) 3 credits

All courses for the Human Resources should must be taken at Marquette, only one course can transfer in from another university. The Assistant Dean of the College of Business Administration must approve any transfer of credits.

* Signifies the course is satisfies the Individual and Social Behavior requirement in the University Core of Common Studies.
