Management
Letter from the Chair
The Department of Management is home to a diverse collection of teacher-scholars, who bring their talent and energies to our students in many ways. Our faculty members are:
- Recipients of teaching awards
- Authors of nationally recognized research
- Collaborators in international research and teaching projects, to bring exciting global perspectives to our students
- Active in activities that provide the most up to date thinking on curricula: serving on a national IT Model Curriculum Task Force, and as President of the University Council of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Programs
- Our Centers and faculty consulting activities build strong, continuous links with practitioners, informing both our teaching and our research
- Our annual business plan competition not only judges and gives prizes for the best student plans, but provides support from entrepreneurs in their development
- And of course, faculty act as mentors for student professional development and job search
