Management
About Us
The Management Department in the College of Business Administration offers students the opportunity to learn, complete internships, and work in a dynamic metropolitan area. Students learn from faculty members who are active researchers and scholars in their field, and who routinely consult in business.
Outstanding business professionals are frequent guest speakers in all of our classes, sharing current business challenges.
Many of our classes use service learning projects that provide students with opportunities to apply what they learn in class while providing services to local non-profit organizations.
We host networking events for supply chain and information technology majors, host numerous entrepreneurs, and continue to create courses that allow students unique opportunities for applied learning.
In each program or major, strong supporting coursework is offered in organizational behavior, leadership and motivation, strategic management, and the environment of business, including regulation, and social responsibility and ethics.
The department offers majors and programs in the following areas:
- Entrepreneurship (ENTP)
Have you ever dreamed of running your own business or working for a family business? From consulting to developing a business plan, these courses lay the groundwork to allow your entrepreneurial spirit to soar.
- Human Resources Management (HURE)
No organization can succeed without the ability to attract, retain, motivate and develop talent. Learn to leverage human talents and help HR contribute to the bottom line. Use service learning to apply your course knowledge or develop and deliver a training module.
- Information Technology (INTE)
Our IT program focuses on training business analysts to leverage the power of IT in organizations. All IT courses include hands-on projects, most through service learning to provide local non-profits with needed services while honing your IT skills.
- Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM)
As organizations seek to increase efficiencies and squeeze out costs, OSCM provides the knowledge to manage all aspects of the supply chain. Simulations and cases enable students to apply what they learn. Get hands-on experience in our Applied Procurement class.
