Critical to the success of every organization is its ability to effectively and efficiently manage its resources and capabilities. These resources include technology, human capital, financial resources, capital equipment, time, and information. No matter what field you choose for your major, you’ll need the management skills necessary to understand people and organizations, work in and manage teams, organize and manage resources, and create and lead organizations.
The Department of Management is home to several subfields of management—information technology management, operations and supply chain management, human resource management, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, strategic management, and business and society.
Students work with faculty who are committed teachers and active researchers. Alumni and business professionals are frequent guest speakers in classes and often teach classes in their area of expertise.
