Applied Investment Management Program
In addition to the traditional finance major, the Department of Finance is home to the Applied Investment Management (AIM) Program. This program allows selected students to get the ultimate applied portfolio management experience; actively manage three equity and fixed-income portfolios, which are tied to Marquette’s endowment, during their senior year. The program covers the core body of knowledge that helps make up the Level I Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) exam, preparing students to sit for that exam shortly after graduation. Given the content of the program and the students’ applied learning experiences (portfolio management, required internship and preparation for the exam), the AIM program was the first undergraduate program of its kind to be selected as a Program Partner by the CFA.
Students apply to the program during the fall semester of their junior year and are notified of acceptance prior to the end of that semester. Acceptance into the program is limited. Discover more about the AIM Program here.
