Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship
2015 Winners - ImpactNext
On April 21, 2015 the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship hosted its third annual ImpactNext Business Model Competition and welcomed more than 25 start-ups from Marquette, Milwaukee and beyond. This year’s competition saw students, alumni and community members from all over Wisconsin compete for a $10,000 grand prize award, in addition to four $1,000 category awards.
Winning ideas included an adventure sport-specific lifejacket, a socially-conscious dog toy company, wearable technology for rehabbing athletes and an online platform for colleges to recruit military personnel.
Each ImpactNext start-up was required to present at a poster session where real-time judging narrowed the field down to five finalists who then presented on-stage in a “Shark Tank”-style format.
