Graduate School of Management
Transfer of Credit Policy
Marquette University does allow some credits to transfer into Master’s Degree programs as appropriate. Limitations on credit transfers into a master’s program are listed below. The transfer policy applies to credits taken at Marquette in a different status (temporary or non-degree), from a different MU program, or credits taken at another approved institution.
Credits from another approved institution:
| Accounting (ACCO) | 6 credits maximum* |
| Business Administration (MBA) | 6 credits maximum* |
| Economics (ECON) | 6 credits maximum* |
| Engineering Management (MSEM) | 6 credits |
| Executive MBA (Exec MBA) | 0 credits |
| Human Resources (HURE) | 6 credits maximum |
* All transfer credits must be from AACSB accredited schools only.
- Marquette University Graduate School of Management is accredited by AACSB - International: The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - International. Please see their website at http://www.aacsb.edu for a listing of other AACSB accredited schools.
- Transfer credits are accepted only from AACSB accredited schools.
- Students must earn a B or better in each pre-approved class.
- Courses must fit into the Marquette curriculum.

- Transfer courses must be within 5 years of start of the GSM program
- Students must complete their program within six years, please note that the start date of the program reverts to the first course taken, including transfer courses
- If a student plans on transferring courses the same semester as graduation, the student should be aware that all paperwork, including the final official transcripts from the outside institution and the approved transfer of credit form must be complete as least two weeks prior to the end of the MU academic semester. (see Graduate School Bulletin for dates)
- Student must complete the Transfer of Credit Form
